If It’s Raining, We Are Training

With the warmer weather and spring right around the corner, a rainy day is a great time to go back to basics and refresh proper techniques and safety procedures.

Recently, we had Steve, Frank, David, Kameron, Jeff, Eric, and Russell doing a refresher on proper chainsaw operation and handling. We also are testing out our new Forester weed eater blades that in essence turn our weed eaters into a chainsaw for our invasive plant control crews. These crews will be heading to Kirksville, MO for a couple weeks to assist the Missouri Department of Conservation in the Sugar Creek Conservation Area .

The team here at Native Landscape Solutions is very excited and proud to partner with our friends at the MDC. Sugar Creek Conservation Area is part of a 2,536 acre tract of forest that has a very unique history, and a  large stand of similar-aged trees. The wildlife management in this area consists of forest, crop fields which provide forage and cover for white tailed deer, turkey, songbirds, and a wide variety of mammals.
