Stormwater BMPs come in all varieties of shapes and sizes. Their purpose is to keep rainwater on a property’s site versus piping it away in a storm sewer. Generally, BMPs collect a site’s rainwater (which is directed to the basin) and slowly processes it. The native plants in these basins have incredible root systems and absorb and process much of this water. Native Landscape Solutions, Inc. (NLS) provides stewardship for hundreds of BMPS in the greater St. Louis area and we’re the leader in quality outcomes. Our efforts not only filter an amazing amount of rainwater but also produces incredible habitat for pollinating insects – as seen in these pictures at a Mercy Hospital site in St. Louis. NLS-maintained basins add immensely to the landscape beauty of our sites. Thanks to all of our customers who allow us to take care of their BMPS – our specialized knowledge, experience and passion for nature give us the upper hand in dealing with BMPs in a professional manner.
